One of the TOP tournament events in Germany - "East". Top couples and top location. For the group photo we had a bad place, since late returning from the dressing room. But you can see the great scenery.
It was always very atmospheric to dance there. Also a photo showing the price presentation is now included .

Group photos Tanzsportwoche Seggau/Leibnitz

An institution in dance sports - for 20 years. Dr. Anton Novak, the organizer, was thus the pioneer of the current "International Camps". A large number of international trainers and couples made a pilgrimage to Leibnitz every year in August to prepare for the autumn / winter season. From a small "trial" training camp, this event grew into a very large training camp. In this era the summer was actually the planned possibility to increase performance, to go very deep into analysis, to change choreography . So, to speak, there was a "summer tournament break". The first important tournament of the fall season of the year was, for the internationally dancing couples, the German Open Championships in Mannheim.
To cite just a few more names of international coaches: Steven & Lindsey Hillier, Hans & Anne Laxholm, Walter Laird, Benny Tolmeyer, Erling Langset & Anita Nagren, Colin James, Helmut & Irene Hanke, Tonny Dokman, Martin & Alison Lamb, Angelo Volpe, Anita Dokman .....

Training camp location - Oststeirischer Hof. After a short search we found this very nice hotel. Appropriate training facilities - sports hall - gym was also available. Thus, the decision for this location had been positive.
Participants of many different clubs trained on this intensive training week. Reinforced was the coaching team with MICHAEL NOISTERNIGG (dance coach) specializing in Latin. Also a former student of Irene and Helmut Hanke.
As always, all our training camps and training assignments were based on both disciplines. Which, because of our wide range of capabilities, was / is clear.

Söchau has been a training location several times for our dance training seminars. Years later, we could help colleagues, who were looking for locations for their club training camp, with our advice.

It had been a very busy time, as from the standard state championship final 4 couples worked intensively with us. Added to this was the responsibility for a considerable number of Latin couples and 10-dancers.

An intense and very interesting time. Not easy to reconcile all this with our foreign engagements. Austria and our dancers were always our priority!

Tournament photo: French Open - Paris. 3rd place Professional Standard. The year before, still as an amateur, 4th place out of 60 couples. The pro tournament went off with great performance. On site and a few days later, we received offers to teach in France. Displayed also some newspaper articles about dancing - decorated with our pictures. Again and again we were invited to photo shoots and our tournament or training photos had been used by newspapers, writing about dance(sport).

At this dance and training studio we spent a lot of time. Lydia was also very often in Vienna for training the UTSK Casino Vienna - Latin couples.

UTSK Casino Wien provided between 6 and 9 couples in standard S-Class for a few years. The LatinS-class were assigned 2 couples. One of them, Irene and Helmut Hanke, were members of the national team Latin and 5 times vice-champion in the combination (apart from the standard national champion titles).

Today's name: Top squad in all disciplines.

Training Camp - Weyregg

Organized by Klaus and Elisabeth Andexlinger - Union Tanzsportclub Linz.

For several years, in summer and winter (around New Year's evening) this training camp was organized by them. Many dancers from Upper Austria, Vienna and Lower Austria were part of this event.

Us coaches (Irene and Helmut Hanke) and the Austrian top couple- Klaus and Elisabeth Andexlinger - a great team!

To Klaus and Elisabeth connects a long-term cooperation - both in the coach / student relationship as well as cooperating as dance trainers.

Helmut also worked as an aerobics instructor. His classes "Latin Jazz" and "strengthening-modern" were well attended. He trained for 7 years in a large fitness club in the Viennese Millenium City. 1 day a week was also a welcome change from the "normal Standard and Latin American dancing". He was thus able to apply his interdisciplinary skills appropriately.

Training before Austrian Championship Latin

Over the years we have led a large number of couples into Austrian championship finals and up their main goal - Austrian Champion. For many years, 30 to 60 percent of the Austrian standard and 10dance finalists have been  in our school intensively. Some of them we helped to continue their improvement in dancing and of their knowledge, also in their professional career.

Internationally, we were intensively on the road, at congresses and teaching - sometimes almost too much. The time management was fierce, the training interesting and varied.

Foreign engagements were obtained through word of mouth, or came in just after tournaments. This on the basis of the PRESENCE and the own PERFORMANCE in the tournament paired with the Know How.

Our varied dance and sport education was very helpful. For your own dancing, as well as for the diversified lessons (training) in standard and Latin.
